Leadership Certification

Leadership Transformation Academy (formerly Peer Leadership Academy)

The Leadership Transformation Academy is a multimodal learning program designed to help individuals become better leaders. Each year, a select group of participants explores their leadership skills, personal values, and strengths in facilitator-guided and self-guided sessions, culminating in a capstone project: the creation of a Personal Leadership Philosophy and Growth Plan.

During the academy, participants follow a curriculum tailored to enhance their professional development, knowledge base and experience, including participating in leadership activities.

The Academy is administered through a partnership of the Peer Support Coalition of Florida and Lonnetta Albright, Chief Vision Officer, Forward Movement Inc and John Maxwell Executive Director.

The Academy’s mission is to enhance participants’ skills and help them become effective leaders in their organizations, professions, and the greater community. Participants are engaged in inspiring, influencing, motivating, reflecting, growing, developing and executing strategy, leading change, and fostering innovation in themselves and others.

Benefits of attending include:

  • Opportunity for personal and professional growth
  • Self-exploration and greater self-awareness
  • Creation of your Personal Leadership Philosophy and Growth Plan
  • A community of peers for ongoing support, networking, and mentoring
  • Confidence to participate in leadership opportunities

“I now know that there are NO limits, there are only speed bumps on this journey called Life! I have discovered one such speed bump in the road for me was fear…MMG has opened my mind to the fears and has shown me that I can safely drive over them to my next destination because I have NO Limits!” Carole M. Williams-Hayes

“The peer leadership academy allowed me the opportunity to meet with other peer support leaders in Florida. It also inspired me to create the Peer Network of Tampa Bay and to pursue a leadership role in peer support. I now work as a peer support supervisor. This training gave me the tools and confidence to lead others.” Matt Peterson

“This course was everything I wanted it to be and more! It expanded my perspective of my own journey and the greater part I could play in my community and beyond. Great programs and great outcomes take time, effort and consistency. I felt my confidence and knowledge growing through the process. Lonnetta’s leadership and experience sparked ambition in me and helped me see my potential in a a way I had never realized before.” Sherry Warner
